Buffett: The Time Has Come for Abel to be CEO
CEO Warren Buffett surprised shareholders at the tail end of Berkshire's annual meeting. Buffett said the “time has arrived” for Greg Abel to succeed him and that he expects that to happen at the end of the year, assuming approval by Berkshire’s board of directors. Buffett said he hadn’t told Abel before he told the shareholders in Omaha.
