Microsoft is laying off thousands of employees across various divisions around the world in an effort to shed layers of management. Microsoft said the layoffs were driven by efforts to become more streamlined and have fewer managers. “We continue to implement organizational changes necessary to best position the company for success in a dynamic marketplace,” a Microsoft spokesperson said Tuesday.
