...and it will make your social media amazing, engaging, and powerful. In this week's video, I give 10 reasons why social media approval processes are ANTI-social and 5 things to do instead of terrible approval processes to make sure your social media team represents the brand:
Approval processes are a legacy from a bygone era where a mistake was costly. Social is supposed to be, well, social, human, colloquial, conversational, emotionally engaging, a little messy, and very relatable. This doesn't happen by committee, and I don't care how 'professional' your brand is. Whether you represent a bank or an art gallery or a news organization or a widget or an app, your customers are human beings and human beings are social.
Hopefully you can use the tips in the video to approach social in a new, more organic way that will help you let go of old skool processes.

Truly Social is a web series that you can share with your boss or client when they're not really "getting" social. It's also the name of my company - where we work with clients on helping them develop their own content series.
I've been working on this social stuff for over 18 years and I've been a participant in the social web since 1992. My videos (usually) come out every week ...with ~5 minute "lessons" on what are truly social practices (and what are NOT).
