Elliott Greenleaf's Kate Harmon was elected to serve as the assistant treasurer of the executive committee of the Delaware State Bar Association for the 2017-18 term.
She is completing her term as a member-at-large of the DSBA executive committee for the 2016-17 term.
Established in 1923, the DSBA's purpose is to continue the pursuit of jurisprudence, effect appropriate statutory reform, ensure proper standards for members of the Delaware bar, preserve the honor and dignity in the Delaware bar, maintain the tenets of professional responsibility and legal ethics, foster relationships among and between the bench and bar of Delaware and preserve the legal history of the Delaware bar, according to a press release.
Additionally, Harmon was elected to serve as the secretary of the women and the law section of the DSBA for a two-year term, ending in 2019.
Harmon, an associate in Elliott Greenleaf's Wilmington office, concentrates her practice in the areas of complex commercial litigation, bankruptcy litigation, entity formation, nonprofit representation, insurance coverage disputes, compliance and intellectual property.
