FordHarrison Names New Head of Jacksonville Office

Management-side labor and employment law firm FordHarrison has named Amy R. Turci the managing partner of its Jacksonville office.

FordHarrison was listed No. 3 on the National Law Journal's 2017 Women's Scorecard and featured as a firm where women lawyers succeed.

Turci, who started at FordHarrison in 2006, became a partner in February. She is part of a growing number of women who have reached office managing partner positions in Florida.

Her promotion comes on the heels of former Jacksonville office managing partner Peter Corbin moving to of counsel. Corbin and Turci had worked closely for a major client. The office has four attorneys.

Turci's practice concentrates on litigating employment cases, and she represents employers before state and local agencies. She also advises on various employment issues, including federal and state anti-discrimination statutes, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Family and Medical Leave Act.

Turci, who has been involved in numerous civic and professional organizations, also helps clients develop regulatory and compliance policies as well as employment handbooks. She conducts management training for corporate and civic organizations on developments in various employment and labor laws.
