A new restaurant may be coming to Bristol Township, which could breathe new life into the long-vacant Georgine’s Jr. site on Veterans Highway.
In May, the property was purchased for $795,000 by Stalmed International, LLC, who submitted a use and occupancy application to Bristol Township in July, outlining plans to open a business called Best Harvest Greens.
Michael Kacherai, director of Stalmed International, declined to comment, but in his application to the township, Best Harvest Greens was listed as a restaurant, bakery and grocery store, offering takeout dinners and a drive thru.
Stalmed is based in Hockessin, Delaware, specializing in medical devices, according to its website.

Georgine’s Jr., which focused mainly on takeout with its quick moving cafeteria-style line, closed in December 2021 after nearly three decades due to staffing shortages. The property has since sat empty.
Georgine’s flagship location on Newport Road remains open. The family-owned fine dining restaurant, with its bar, lounge area, dining room and banquet halls, first opened in 1977.
