Local News | Lake County Department of Utilities will host hiring event

Apr. 6—The Lake County Department of Utilities and Ohio Means Jobs will host a hiring event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., April 13, at the Richard L. Martin Learning and Business Center, 1981 Blase Nemeth Road in Painesville Township.

The event will offer open interviews with 15 opportunities within the department's three divisions, according to a news release.

The department is currently looking to fill the following positions: water distribution supervisor, water quality assurance operators, water plant operator, water plant maintenance, wastewater plant maintenance, solid waste supervisor, meter reader, wastewater maintenance laborer, plant operator apprenticeships and seasonal general labor.

All experience levels will be considered. Full-time hourly rates range from $15.60 to $27.50 per hour and seasonal work starts at $12. Full-time positions include a comprehensive benefits package.

The department's three divisions — Water, Sanitary Sewer and Solid Waste — work to keep Lake County clean and safe, by providing exceptional water, sanitary sewer treatment and landfill administration, the release stated.
