SAN JOSE, Calif., April 22, 2025--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Lumentum Holdings Inc. ("Lumentum"), a global leader in optical and photonic solutions for the cloud and networking markets, announced today that it has earned the EcoVadis Platinum Medal for a third consecutive year — representing the highest level of recognition for sustainability performance. Lumentum remains in the top one percent of companies assessed by EcoVadis over the past year, with its overall score rising to 83, up from 80. Lumentum demonstrated improvement in the categories of Environment, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. EcoVadis medals are awarded based on the percentile rank of a company compared to the performance of all rated companies.

"Earning the EcoVadis Platinum Medal for a third year in a row maintains our elite standing and reflects our culture of continuous improvement and accountability in our approach to sustainability," said Misha Rozenberg, Lumentum executive vice president and chief operations and quality officer. "Over the past year, our teams remained laser focused on our sustainability goals — achieving greater emissions reductions and expanding renewable energy adoption across our global operations. I am incredibly proud of our teams who make this progress possible every day."

Upholding the highest standards of environmental, social, and ethical governance is one of the top priorities for Lumentum. Recent environmental accomplishments include:

  • Reduced Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 38% in fiscal year 2024, compared to fiscal year 2023, despite a company acquisition.

  • Increased procurement of renewable electricity to 79% in fiscal year 2024, up from 61% in fiscal year 2023.

  • Began solar power generation at two major sites in fiscal year 2024: Navanakorn, Thailand and San Jose, California, USA.

  • Received approval for its near (2030) and long-term (2050) greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets from the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) in fiscal year 2025.
