Police: Man Sent Grenade to Warren County Courthouse

Police in upstate New York have arrested a man they say mailed a grenade to a courthouse.

New York State court officers intercepted a suspicious looking package at the Warren County Court in Queensbury Thursday afternoon. The building was evacuated following an X-ray that showed a grenade was in the package.

After an investigation, police found the explosive was inactive. Authorities also discovered a note that described killing police.

Police say a 48-year-old Hadley man has been charged with making a terroristic threat and criminal possession of a weapon in connection to the courthouse package.

The suspect is being held in the Warren County Correctional Facility without bail.
