Discount variety chain Dollar Tree has named Stewart Glendinning as chief financial officer, effective March 30. Glendinning will succeed Jeff Davis, who previously announced plans to step down. Davis will remain with the company temporarily to support a smooth transition. Glendinning joined Dollar Tree earlier this year in a senior role focused on enterprise-wide initiatives, including areas within the company’s finance organization and the review of strategic alternatives for the Family Dollar business. Before joining Dollar Tree, Glendinning served as Express, Inc.’s CEO. He previously held global CFO roles at Tyson Foods and Molson Coors Brewing Company as well.
UK supermarket chain Tesco has appointed H&M executive Katja Ahola Klamkin to run its clothing and home business categories. Ahola Klamkin will replace Jan Marchant, who is retiring after over 20 years at the chain. Ahola Klamkin will join in the coming months, following nearly three decades with the H&M Group, most recently serving as managing director for lifestyle.
British e-tailer Asos has restructured its digital product and technology functions.
As such, Asos has named Przemek Czarnecki as executive vice president of technology, taking over from interim EVP of technology, Hugh Williams. Czarnecki brings 30 years of experience in digital engineering and engineering management, focused on digital tech and e-commerce. He has worked across Europe and the U.S., most recently as vice president of software engineering at Zalando.
Also announced was the consolidation of commercial and customer functions, to be led by a new EVP of commercial and customer. Moving to a geography-based structure, Sean Trend, former SVP of North America, was named managing director of the UK and the U.S., while former SVP of operations Jay Weatherly was named managing director of Europe and the rest of the world. Brand and creative have been consolidated, with EVP brand and creative, Vanessa Spence (previously EVP creative) leading the newly combined function.
With regards to Topshop and Topman, Asos launched a dedicated cross-functional team, with business led by Michelle Wilson (previously chief of staff and strategy) as managing director of Topshop and Topman. People experience (PX) and corporate affairs and strategy are also being consolidated. Ras Vaghjiani (previously EVP of people experience) will lead as EVP of people, communications and strategy. Vaghjiani will be supported by Rishi Sharma (previously interim general counsel and company secretary), who has been appointed SVP corporate affairs and strategy.
Wedding and special occasion retailer David’s Bridal announced an executive leadership “evolution,” effective April 1. Jim Marcum, currently CEO, will step into the role of executive chairman of David’s in addition to his current position as chairman of the board of directors. Kelly Cook, currently serving as president of brand, technology and finance, will succeed Marcum as CEO and will become a member of the board of directors. Elina Vilk, current chief business officer (CBO), will transition into the role of president and CBO, leading the company’s “aisle to algorithm” strategy, reporting directly to Cook. Bob Walker, current chief operating officer (COO), is being promoted to president and COO, overseeing HR and supply chain, reporting directly to Cook. Heather McReynolds is being promoted to senior vice president of merchandising, working closely with executive advisor of merchandising, Jeff Zelenko.

New York-based designer, manufacturer and distributor United Legwear & Apparel Co. announced the appointment of Tony Lucia as president of ULAC Europe BV, inclusive of ULAC UK Ltd, the company’s wholly-owned European and UK subsidiaries, headquartered in the Netherlands and London. In his new role, Lucia will lead the expansion of the Scotch & Soda, Ted Baker (e-commerce,) Hurley and Skechers brands. Collaborating with ULAC’s sales teams in the UK, Europe and the U.S., he will stregthen retailer relationships, refine go-to-market strategies and drive omnichannel sales growth. His comprehensive expertise—spanning operations, P&L management, supply chain efficiencies, and global e-commerce strategy and sales—positions him as a vital asset to ULAC Europe and UK’s leadership team.
Branded resale company Trove has appointed Herman Radtke as chief technology officer. He is a seasoned engineering leader who previously served as vice president of engineering at Narvar and as head of engineering at Nordstrom Rack.
In this new role, Radtke will lead the company’s technology initiatives, helping drive the next growth phase in the re-commerce space.

AI-simulation software provider Cosmo Tech announced the formation of its technology advisory board. Providing strategic guidance on how AI-simulation technology can be leveraged for finance, supply chain, and asset management decision intelligence, the board will be led by Michel Morvan, chief innovation and technology officer of Cosmo Tech, serving as chairman of the board. Members include Jean-Luc Chatelain, former global CTO of applied intelligence at Accenture; Sam George, former corporate vice president at Microsoft; and David Simchi-Levi, professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
