During this week’s roundtable, we worked with two entrepreneurs and looked at some videos that generated further discussions and Q&A.

Vinaya Kurpad, pitching from San Jose, CA, CoolGrad.com, presented a video-based college selection feedback site. Vinaya has some early metrics of user engagement around about 400 videos. She needs to validate the unit economic of video production, CPM, traffic acquisition, etc. She also wants to sell analytics on student feedback to universities, which requires critical mass of student engagement per university.

Sex and Medicine Summit

Next, Anita Boeninger from New York City pitched Sex and Medicine Summit, another video content based niche education site. Anita has had some experience of attracting about 10,000 users and converting 3% of them to paying users. This needs to be scaled with proper methodology.
