U.S. market indexes were higher on Friday. For the day, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at a new high of 21637.74 with a gain of 84.65 points or 0.39%. The S&P 500 closed at 2459.27, its highest level since June 19, with a gain of 11.44 points or 0.47%. The Nasdaq Composite closed at 6312.47, its second highest level, with a gain of 38.03 points or 0.61%. The VIX Volatility Index was lower for the day at 9.62 with a loss of -0.28 points or -2.83%.

The intrinsic value of JPM
For the week, the Dow Jones gained 1%, the S&P 500 gained 1.4% and the Nasdaq Composite gained 2.6%.

In small-caps, the Russell 2000 Index closed at 1428.82 for a gain of 3.16 points or 0.22%. The S&P 600 Small-Cap Index closed at 862.70 for a gain of 2.35 points or 0.27%. The Dow Jones Small-Cap Growth TSM Index closed at 8661.80 for a gain of 27.86 points or 0.32%. The Dow Jones Small-Cap Value TSM Index closed at 9625.03 for a gain of 26.96 points or 0.28%.
