This comes after a nearly two-year delay. O'Clair was initially awarded the project back in 2023, but the process was halted due to protests from its competitors.
Platinum prices also jumping today, up over 4%. The precious metal, which is used in electric vehicles, jewelry, and industrial applications, up about 40% year to date. Limited supplies caused by trade disputes and declining outputs are boosting prices, according to Bloomberg reports.
And Victoria's Secret issuing a disappointing outlook for its current quarter, sending shares lower. The retailer is currently facing pressure from one of its largest investors, BBRC. The firm accusing Victoria's Secret of mismanagement and calling for a complete overhaul of its board.
