Sony Sees Modest Hit From U.S. Tariffs

For the year that began in April, Sony projected net profit would fall 13%, to the equivalent of about $6.3 billion. That's partly because it estimates U.S. tariffs will cut operating profit by the equivalent of $678 million. China is one of four countries where the PlayStation is made, said Chief Financial Officer Lin Tao, and the company has been diversifying production sites for the PlayStation 5 and building inventory in the U.S. to deal with tariffs.
