Mazda for now will absorb about $100 million in tariff-related costs this month without resorting to price increases, the Japanese automaker told its U.S. dealers. In an email to dealers Wednesday, viewed by the Journal, Mazda said it wouldn’t raise its sticker prices or tack on import fees to any vehicles that are on dealership lots or that come into the country before May 1.
