International Business Machines said Tuesday that it was charting a path toward building the world’s first “large-scale, fault-tolerant quantum supercomputer,” with a deployment target before the end of the decade. The tech giant unveiled its bold vision for IBM Quantum Starling, a machine capable of 100 million quantum operations using 200 logical qubits. Logical qubits are groups of physical qubits, or particles that are entangled with each other, enhancing their stability.
