The key is to reach out to high qualified, enthusiastic young people, out of college already, even if for a short time. Legal education is a portal into extraordinary professional opportunities at the intersection of law, business, and technology. The law credential is often in addition to, not instead of, an MBA and other important professional credentials. Looking at legal education as a narrow pathway into traditional career as lawyers an important and fulfilling career to be sure is way too narrow. Rather, legal education in the modern era brings together foundational and applied skills that enable talented young people to thrive and excel in an increasingly interconnected, de-siloed marketplace. Law schools need to be ever more imaginative in communicating their advantages in this brave new world. If they do, eager, ambitious young folks will follow. Think about this: Business schools marketed their MBAs in a world in which this credential was not essential to manage and to pursue great business careers. What did they know that law schools don't?
