Former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried Testifies in New York Courtroom

On October 26, former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried, also known as SBF, testified in a New York courtroom.

SBF addressed questions about his usage of the messaging app Signal and the storage of communication data at the crypto exchange at a hearing in which the jury was not present. He maintained that his actions were in accordance with corporate regulations and that media set to "auto-delete" were not decision-making channels.

SBF was questioned during his testimony concerning the formation of North Dimension, an accused organization used to launder customer funds. He stated that former chief regulatory officer Dan Friedberg gave him the necessary documentation to set up the firm, which he signed without inquiry.

SBF further stated that, as the CEO of both organizations at the time, he believed accepting FTX deposits through Alameda Research was legal.

Bankman-Fried is the final witness in this trial, and the jury is expected to reach a decision next week.
