Marc Rose has joined Sidley Austin as a partner in the firm's Dallas office. A member of the mergers and acquisitions practice group, Rose focuses on M&A, joint ventures and other energy transactions, as well as private equity investments. Tara Lancaster has joined Sidley Austin as an associate in its tax practice group in Dallas. She advises clients on upstream and midstream oil and gas transactions and on transactions involving the formation and acquisition of real estate investment trusts.
Rose Cardona, a business, family and immigration lawyer, has been hired by SocialCare, an emerging healthcare technology company in Austin, as its first vice president of legal affairs. Cardona also serves as mayor of Sunset Valley.
Rhuju Vasavada has joined Yetter Coleman in Houston as an associate. Vasavada focuses her practice on commercial litigation, including financial services and insurance disputes.
Elizabeth G. Myers has joined the Austin office of Thompson & Knight as a partner in the firm's trial practice group. Myers represents clients in state and federal courts in matters involving commercial disputes, product defect, consumer fraud and securities fraud class actions. Paul K. Stafford has joined Thompson & Knight as counsel, Sydney K. Collier has joined as an attorney and Jasmine S. Wynton has joined as an associate. Stafford, Collier and Wynton are in the trial practice group in Dallas.
Ethan M. Wood has joined Gray Reed & McGraw as an associate in the Dallas office. He is in the firm's energy practice and has experience with natural resources law, lease and contract negotiations, title opinions, regulatory compliance and environmental and surface use.
Jeff Hage has joined the Dallas office of Peckar & Abramson as a partner. During his more than 35-year career, Hage has handled complex, high-stakes litigation, trying cases across Texas and elsewhere in the country.
Tim Curington has joined the Houston office of Patterson + Sheridan as of counsel. Curington's practice focuses on technology-based agreements and other intellectual property transactional work, as well as on the preparation and prosecution of domestic and international patent applications.
Michelle Alden has been named the next director of the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program. Alden, a 10-year veteran of the DVAP, previously served as the managing attorney for the program.
John T. Mockler, a registered patent attorney, has joined Harness Dickey in Frisco as of counsel. He counsels companies from the U.S. and abroad in building winning strategies to protect their intellectual property assets.
