Saturday is a high-ranking made-up holiday.
It's 4/20, aka Weed Day or Pot Day, and that means specials for cannabis fans across the country, regardless of whether they can legally buy pot in their state or not.
This year, more major restaurant chains are getting in the holiday mood including Pizza Hut, which has a sweet brownie deal, and Boston Market with its buy-one-get-one free Pot Pie deal.
Plus, Carl’s Jr. says it is the first chain to test a CBD-burger at one Denver location only on Saturday.
CBD, a hemp-derived cannabidiol, is a nonpsychoactive ingredient in cannabis that is becoming increasingly mainstream.
Cannabis-based products got a major boost in December when President Donald Trump signed off on an $867 billion Farm Bill that gave a green light for hemp to be cultivated on a large scale.
Walgreens, CVS and Rite Aid have announced that they are introducing CBD topical products in some locations.

Unlike marijuana, another cannabis species, hemp has almost none of the psychoactive compounds that cause a user to get high. Now that it's no longer labeled a controlled substance, more businesses have the opportunity to create hemp-based products, from tinctures to lotions.
Here are some of munchie deals, not drug deals, though you might find a discounted buzz Saturday:
Ben & Jerry's: The Vermont-based premium ice cream maker partnered with a San Francisco Bay Area cannabis retailer to give customers who place delivery orders on Friday and Saturday a free pint of Half Baked, a combination of cookie dough and fudge brownie. Learn more here.
Boston Market: With a coupon posted on the chain’s website, get a free Rotisserie Chicken Pot Pie with the purchase of another Pot Pie and drink Saturday.
Carl’s Jr.: Only on Saturday, April 20, and only at one Denver location, the fast-food chain will have a special burger, "The Rocky Mountain High: CheeseBurger Delight," that includes a CBD-infused sauce.
Cheba Hut: Locations are celebrating the holiday with $4.20 nugs, which are usually $5.39. There also will be drink specials, giveaways and live music at their locations. Plus, there’s a Kool-Aid chugging and sticky icky eating contest.
