Greggs PLC (LON:GRG) saw its shares drop more than 8% in early trading on Tuesday after reporting a further slowdown in sales growth. RBC Capital Markets had forecast a 2.5% increase for the first quarter, indicating that Greggs still has ground to make up. Underlying operating profit stood at £195.3 million, slightly above RBC Capital Markets’ estimate of £194.1 million, while pre-tax profit came in at £189.8 million.
